Is this book for Christians only?
I wrote this from a place of faith, so it will speak most directly to parents who share that faith. But it's also for any parent who isn't there yet but is open — the prayers and steps inside are for anyone standing in the gap for their teenager.
Do I need to be a prayer warrior to use this book?
No. I wrote this to meet you wherever you are in your prayer life. Whether you're just starting out, growing, or a seasoned prayer warrior, it will add to your prayer life and help it grow.
Is this only for parents raising teenagers now, or can it help with younger kids too?
No age is too early or too late. Prayer isn't just for when something's wrong — it's preparation for their future, their destiny, their friendships, everything ahead of them. Jesus was twelve when he began preparing in his Father's house for the ministry he'd step into at thirty — prayer was the preparation before the calling. I want us to carry that same posture for our kids, whatever age or stage they're at, from two, to twelve, to twenty-four and beyond. Don't wait for a problem before you start praying — start preparing them now.
I'm a busy parent — will this work for me?
Yes. Hell isn't afraid of busy parents, it's afraid of praying ones. Each chapter takes twenty to thirty minutes a day. It's not the length of your prayer that moves mountains in your child's life, it's the intention behind it.
What if I feel like it's too late, or my child is beyond saving?
It's never too late. I wrote this book because I believe no child is beyond reach and no parent is too late to start praying. Every day you choose to stand in the gap is a day that counts, no matter how far things feel right now.
